Which a few thousand fans were happy the Cajuns ended up somewhere last year.

Fact, we have to pay to play in the CBI and CIT. Yet we can't buy home games.

Fact, we have beat McNeese and UNO for our only D1 wins. Uno was D3 as little as 2 or 3 years ago.

Give me a break, we are going on a decade of poor to mediocre basketball. If that's ok with you then so be it. It's not good enough for me.

    Fact:
    12/3/15 - Final score: UCLA 87, Kentucky 77

    Fact:
    12/15/15 - Final score: UCLA 89, UL 80

Had we showed well against those teams, pulled out a couple of wins, and dominated this SBC, like many expected to do.. We could absolutely earn an at large bid.

Our program has fallen even further than I thought.
Some of us realize how far we have fallen years ago. Welcome to the club.

Some were d___led by the red headed clown. Others were d___led by the coach with the gansta mentality teams. Today, some are d___led by our team that is dying for a point guard. You can have all the talent you want down low, but if you cannot get the ball to them, you got a problem. The teams we considered peers, benchmarks even, are gone. Other leagues have moved up to D-1 which are basically basketball conferences. Recruiting is a nightmare. You can find a game with Grand Canyon State (or whatever) almost any night of the week on tv. It's wide open now. We got blown by years ago. Doesn't mean I don't expect our teams to compete. Last night was borderline disgusting. Not pumping sunshine. That sucked. Pepperdine, I went to bed at half time. Yup, disgusted the next morning.

And our team this year isn't even near a team that can hold the jock of any of our teams from the late 70's early 80's, not to mention Bo and company. That's my measuring sticks.

However, whatever went down with Long and Marlin, I'll give the coach props for handling that. Heard the excuse on the post game. Ok...if he says so.

And I'll be at the games.

So the UCLA starters played most of the game against UK and the bench played most of the game against us. What is your point?

Long was a beast, 3 three pointer made or blocked and we have a ball game.

Holding Steve A.'s son to his average and UL wins.

Good thing Long came back in after the neck scare.

I think that was why he was held out at the start of the last game. If UL had come out hot we might not have seen him.

...and if we would have won that game, you would still say the same thing??

----Ah my friend----Welcome to the land of AD HOMINEMs---I guess I was one of the first to experience and identify its fallaciousness---I call them in fun writings the Eauxers---I tried to identify them as a group of hyper intensified fans who have arrived at a consensus to hate Dr A, Blanco, T-Joe, Farmer, Marlin, Nixon, Johnson, Buckley, etc----If you take any rational to a subject you are criticized as a friend of the above or any personal Ad Hs----Great guys, but not good debaters and as you mentioned about facts, forget it----- and yes they have changed their opinions as the world turns---But I do love them and wish us all a great Holiday season with ALL SUPPORTING THE CAJUNS!!! IN 2016 we will reach ALL OUR DREAMS---AND NOW I AWAIT NEGATIVES!!! LOL

Absolutely. I'll fully admit, just watching Long the first few years, I wasn't that impressed with what I saw, and maybe I wasn't a fan of him for whatever reasons.... but someone finally kicked me in the derriere and told me to check out his stats.... while it wasn't pretty how he got them, he certainly got them. And is still getting them.

Heck, he was only 2-3 rebounds short of another double-double last night, and that was playing less than half a game.

I have been a three sport season ticket holder since 1976. I was a four sport season ticket holder until Jerry Baldwin came. The truth is that after he left I realized I just did not enjoy going an sitting out in the cold, and sometimes rain. I go to some games but only if the weather is nice. I support the team financially through RCAF but I do not buy season tickets because I just don't like going to football games. I attended one high school game last year, and have turned down Saints tickets many times because I don't like going there either. I love going to basketball, softball and baseball and I think that after this season I will buy ladies basketball and stop buying mens basketball tickets until we get a new coach.

Oh, but that's right... you only care about wins and losses......
There is no such thing as a bad win or a good loss. Moral victories are for losers, and there is no such thing as a moral loss.

Oh, wait, I'm sorry, I forgot: you folks are stingy enough that you actually want to turn down anything less than NIT, because that's not REAL post-season play.
The other "consolation tournaments" are money makers for those that put them on. We actually paid to play in those tournaments. There is only one real post season tournament, and the NIT should be considered the consolation tournament.
