Toney had a very decent career in the NBA yet you never saw an "Andrew Toney Watch" subset in The Daily Advertiser. Shawn Long has been dominated in the 3 D-1 games that UL has lost.

I personally think the university is on a course to grow football in order to get in a better conference and give basketball a better platform from which to grow. It's hard to call for a coach's head when your sport's priority is on hold. But they are renovating the Cajundome so more attention to basketball will follow. What makes me think that way is the lack of marquee OOC games at home to entice people to attend. The recruiting budget may be limited. Another thing is that we don't seem to be capable to get off to a good start. I think Shipley and Paschal might be less successful in this environment. Pure speculation on my part.

The condition of the cajundome has nothing to do with wins. I'm tired of people whining about the facilities. Get a real coach who can recruit and inspire players. They're out there, Farmer needs to get out and start looking. Jessie Evans and Marty Fletcher's teams would mop the floor with the teams we have fielded in the last 4-5 years.

Not happening. Too long on his contract. Marlin and his middle of the road teams will be ok for SBC play. Probably finish in top four. Not good enough to get excited not bad enough to not keep renewing.

Well what we have now isn't working. I'm sick and tired of mediocrity and people saying it could be worse. I WANT BETTER. My employer doesn't look at my performance that way so why should we accept different?
