Is Bob Marlin's seat even starting to warm up?

I personally think the university is on a course to grow football in order to get in a better conference and give basketball a better platform from which to grow. It's hard to call for a coach's head when your sport's priority is on hold. But they are renovating the Cajundome so more attention to basketball will follow. What makes me think that way is the lack of marquee OOC games at home to entice people to attend. The recruiting budget may be limited. Another thing is that we don't seem to be capable to get off to a good start. I think Shipley and Paschal might be less successful in this environment. Pure speculation on my part.

Yep I disagreed when Farmer gave him that raise. If I recall correctly, Marlin makes over 400k per year and the dude has no signature win.....none!

We always seem to start off the season slow. Also people bringing up basesball, correct me if I'm wrong didn't we start off the season pretty slow and ended up having a good season?

Ok and your point is. Nobody outside of Lafayette knows who he is. i put him up there with Kevin Brooks. Both can say that they have had a cup of coffee in the NBA. Toney had a very decent career in the NBA yet you never saw an "Andrew Toney Watch" subset in The Daily Advertiser. Shawn Long has been dominated in the 3 D-1 games that UL has lost.

Andrew Toney had serious foot issues that forced his early retirement....I have no doubt that he would have made the hall of fame
