Well he will be doing it without two starting WR's and one offensive lineman. So I won't judge him on this weekends performance either, because it wouldn't be fair to him.

I see no downside to starting him. If he excels, we win, and the future is set. If he fails miserably, Coach has a pliant QB to shape and form in the off season and gets people like me to back off a little.

Let's hope not, that would suck if he got caught cheating, left here went to juco then got paid to go to ULM and win the conference championship

Who says judge him....just get him some action under fire. See what you see. Every game he will play in will have players missing. I don't see any downside to starting him and not much upside to starting the other guys. The goal is to win games and go to bowls. Not keep everybody happy. Whatever gets us any amount closer to that, I'm for. If this guy is the future, lets accelerate the learning curve.

I'm simply saying I didn't judge him off of one series last week and I won't judge him this week without his full arsenal of weapons. I am in agreement he should be playing, since half way through the season.

None of these QBs could have been successful with the players and play calling they had to work with this year. Any of them could have been successful with better players and play calling. It's not the QBs that were bad, it's the whole team. The talent level is falling like a rock.

Not as bad as it looks. I think there are a lot of talented young players that just weren't ready to go this year. I feel a big turnaround coming for this team next year.

I don't remember anyone saying that. Not even Boomer.

Here is what was claimed by some or one (I can't recall) and I am paraphrasing from memory.

'Nixon would be an NFL caliber running back.'

Nixon was also compared to Brian Mitchell who DID play in the NFL.

I don't think anyone said he was NFL caliber at the QB position, but your memory might be better than mine.
