...because most, if not all, of our zone read option plays have no read in them. They are either predetermined hand offs or keepers. The zone read is often just used as a "look" to mask the called play. Just my opinion, but it would explain why we often see how the play could have worked much better had the opposite happened in terms of the QB keeping it or not.

It also explains the QB locking in on certain plays.

The coaches did a terrible job on preparing for this year, there shouldn't be such a lack of talent on the OL, especially since we had several players playing for several years. There should have been excellent depth.

Yeah, I'd take the points and bet the house. Now, a 17 point line might be tough. But for as much as we're struggling, we can keep it within 3 scores.
