Coach has been severely tested this season. He has earned the opportunity to right the ship next year. I think players with leadership skills need to step up or join the team because coaches can't play. We have lacked that ingredient. We appreciate our players but this season has not been successful. The coaches didn't become idiots overnight.

17 rushing yards. Maybe stop going after skill positions that never make it on the field and go find some linemen.

...because most, if not all, of our zone read option plays have no read in them. They are either predetermined hand offs or keepers. The zone read is often just used as a "look" to mask the called play. Just my opinion, but it would explain why we often see how the play could have worked much better had the opposite happened in terms of the QB keeping it or not.

Question is not where the talent is, I think we have a lot of talent on the roster and the recruiting reflects that, but talent won't equal wins as long as we don't have any leadership on this team. We desperately miss having a Gautier, Broadway, Green, Mcguire, or Harris, and that goes far beyond their talent on the field.

Looks to me like this is the case as well.

I agree. I think Nixon is often used as a decoy to help Eli pick up a few yds on the handoff.

But the coaches did recruit these players. It's not like somebody else recruited them then sent them here.

I think these players have lost confidence in this staff.

Recruiting stars aren't worth diddly squat.

Eventually, the juice runs out, injuries take a toll, and fundamentals are exposed.

When the S-storm hits, like this season, you regroup, return to the drawing board and focus on what the heck kind of football team you want to be and recruit players that will actually see the field and fit your scheme.

Everyone must be on the same page. Players and coaches that don't fit need to be let go.

Lastly, but most importantly, leadership comes from players with leadership qualities. Recruit those guys, even if it means fewer stars on the recruiting board.

Sorry dudes who think Haack is good. He is not. Holds the ball too long and cannot locate secondary receivers.

Hard to locate secondary receivers when you are on your back.
