A close, back-and-forth game between UL and New Mexico State ended with the Aggies striking last.

An errant 5-yard punt by usually reliable Ragin’ Cajuns punter Steven Coutts gave NMSU the ball at the Cajun 34 late in the fourth quarter, and the Aggies got a 21-yard field goal from Parker Davidson with one minute and 29 seconds left to win 37-34 on Saturday night at Cajun Field.
