Please explain.. I'm not trying to be an ___. I really want to know the facts. I've personally never heard T-Joe or Scott say publicly (in an official manner) that we want to be known as Louisiana of the University of Louisiana when it comes to athletics. Maybe I missed it?
I don't buy either of them and read every article
Those that refuse to read the advocate are just missing good coverage. That's all.
The word obtuse comes to mind.
I read the Adv. and the Adv.
N
I don't think it is tremendously better. We get an article a day, maybe two. Look at the Advertiser for Gameday. No comparison. I like Buckley's articles. Might be a misspelled word every now and then an an occasional fact misstatement. But, I will take that for the UL and Louisiana reference and because it is our hometown newspaper. I like Lukes's articles and he is a good writer. But, maybe it is time for Lafayette to let the Baton Rouge paper know that if it wants to do continue doing business in Lafayette, it needs to respect our university. I am tired of the slap in the face we get from them every day and everyone says "That's OK. Thanks for the great articles." Lafayette is our town and UL is our university. Time to give us our due respect.
I agree. Luke is the better writer, but coverage overall is better in the D.A. Plus, I could not agree more with this, and it is worth repeating:

I am tired of the slap in the face we get from them every day and everyone says "That's OK. Thanks for the great articles." Lafayette is our town and UL is our university. Thank you sir for the great article, and the insult. Can I have another??
More than half our graduates slap us in the face multiple times a day.
I think if we could transport ourselves to almost any mid-major in the country and experience their coverage, we'd run back to Luke AND Buckley in a heartbeat.
How's Tulane's coverage nowadays?
We were the first softball team to broadcast every game in a season in this entire country.
Not first mid-major.
First, period.
I'm thankful for any coverage of our team.
It's disrespectful not to call us by our name, but Luke doesn't have the say-so. And he's one of the best.
We had Josh Parrot here for a while, whose research and info took a back seat to no one.
How many mid-majors have a 2 hour pregame show and 2 hour postgame on Tuesday night to hear drunk-___ Cajuns spouting off about the coach having a pretty wife?
Very thankful for the coverage here.
