That's one of the oddest announcements ever. I hope he's not sick.
It does not sound like, but who knows anymore.
I found this on several different websites.
“Over the last two or three days, I’ve thought long and hard about what I really want to do,” Brady, a 25-year Division I head coach, said. “I’ve talked to some close friends of mine in the coaching business and not in the coaching business. I met with Terry Mohajir today for an hour, and he is a great AD. I told him where I was. Regardless of how well we do this year, this is my last year here.”
He's feels the heat. The fans have been calling for his fish looking head for months now, if not a year.. He was one more bad loss from having to UBER home after a game.
I heard he has to collect more nuts to store in his chipmunk cheeks.
Really do hope he's not ill. That being said, dudes been a douche since he was at LSU.
Z
Dude is toons. He dropped the * bomb on his players in the first half on the game in the dome last year. Was weird, he didn't get teed up but it got real quiet for a second or two.
It's amazing to me how quickly a coach's stock can rise and fall. Brady was evidently such a good coach that he worked his way up from Crowley High School to bringing an SEC school to the Final Four. And now he evidently isn't good enough for Arkansas State. So was he a good coach or a bad coach? Or was he really good 10 years ago and got stupider and lazier as time went on? Personally, I think dumb luck plays a much bigger role in a coach's success than people realize.
On another note, I think this announcement is going to destroy Arkansas State's basketball team. I don't see how a recruit will want to sign not knowing who he's going to be playing for. And I don't see how Brady and his staff would put in the effort to recruit for a team they won't be a part of next year. If I'm the AD, I'd fire Brady yesterday.
---When I was in the publication business doing the yearbooks at schools, my manager use to always say that if you weren't growing you were falling back---there was a need to always keep growing in all phases of the job and like coaches ALWAYS know what your competitors are doing and saying (remind anyone of recruiting???) BTW he was a former LSU basketball assistant that hated that school!!!
