Thread: New UL Plates

  1. Default Re: New UL Plates

Well if Hot Wheels would be used ANYWHERE it should be on a "check out my wheels" license plate.

These new Louisiana plates are almost an exact copy of the ones I designed for Texas several years ago. Texas was a little trickier because you can't just put a red FDL or even just the phrase "Ragin Cajuns" on something an expect people to know what it was for.

So we were kind of forced into the circle logo. I tried to get the university to approve some color changes (all red/white or at least removing the flames). No dice on that.

That being said, I prefer the old Louisiana plates as well. These plates don't seem consistent with the current marketing strategy.

Wait, what? WE HAVE INCONSISTENT MARKETING?

Thanks for the post: very enlightening. Can you try shedding some light on why they are so adamant about keeping the 'hot wheels' logo, as opposed to the red/white, cleaner looking one? Just trying to understand their thought process in this.

The new plates are ugly, glad I kept my old one.

Where can I find reflective paint. My plates pretty badly faded.

Suddenly this thread reminds me of a pre-2015 uniform thread.

New buyers don't have an option.

    They look good to me.

This is just a wild guess, but I have a feeling the plates were designed by the LA DMV and zero ****s were given about branding.

I highly doubt that. There are surely limitations, but schools have input as to the design they want.

Are there already more than 6000? Or did they not start over the numbering
