I see he was a bball player in the 90s. The old AthleticNetwork.net still alive after all these years...

Damn... I never saw him play, but he used to work for one of my customers and had a good job. Last I heard, he was working offshore for more money. Of course that industry is hurting now

When you are that tall, it would be hard to get away with robbing a bank. Not too many people around who would fit the description

Saw him play. He was VERY good. From New Iberia High. Drafted in the second round of the NBA. Evidently, he wasn't as good at robbing banks.

Wow really sad. I remember watching him play ball when I was a kid.

I think he was part of the "twin towers" with Kelvin Price out of NISH

Just FYI, he was not drafted.

But he was part of a very highly touted recruiting class with Kelvin Price, Reggie Poole and Chris Snowden. Butch Pierre left and took Price after two years. Poole missed a season with injury but finished a year after Manuel and the Snowman. Chris had a great senior season in Jesse's first year That team lost in the tournament finals to South Al at the Cajundome by one basket.

    9100 there that night

Sorry...thought I recalled him being taken at the end of the second round. Shame...regardless.

I remember him well. He was THE guy in high school in new Iberia. Me and my dad used to go watch him regularly. Sad to see he took this path in life...
