Before.........................
Almost after............................
Does anyone know what's the deal with that big empty space at the top of the north side? I always figured it was a shell for suites that were never built. After the renovations it still seems to be a big empty space.
I don't know for sure. The Cajundome was designed to be a true multi-purpose facility that could handle all sorts of events. This is why the 100 level seats could be completely removed on the ends and retracted all the way up on the sides. Back in the day there were also temporary seats in those empty spaces that could be removed if needed. I don't know why but about 10 years ago they were taken out permanently.
Anyway, my point is that I assume the architect figured it could be used for unique events like mardi gras balls or.... hell I don't know. They didn't think that building through too well.
Looks amazing!
Bummed to still see a hockey wall, I thought seats were going all the way to the floor
A couple of new ones.
