If they have black seats, the empty seats will show up more with fans wearing red. The red seats in the first rendering look hot.

But then again, what will little Germdawg do, since he will have one less pic to take of our campus, LOL.
Germ pouch was obviously at Cajun field over the week end and took very select pictures of a bunch of temporary stuff that is a band aid until the renovations happen. All of his best photography can be seen on BDB&B. The best part about it is they act like that hell hole is better than Cajun field. Yes they added about 500 box seats in the end zone. Your biggest donor in the end zone ???? If he weren't envious he would not post pics of the few hand selected things at CF.

You want to paint everything black????? Don't you. You should start a petition to change the school colors to black. Then you could have your high school, college and pro team all in black.

Those trash cans are the best thing they ever did. Much better than old cardboard boxes line with thin bag they used to have. Not sure if you are suggesting they should remove and replace between games? That would be very labor intensive.

Yeah, those screens were in bad shape.

Just the ceiling, would make it feel like a smaller building.

Yeah, you are correct. There was about 11K in the dome that night. It would be nice to buy a game like that occassionally.

Actually, no they won't. The biggest thing people are going to notice is the lighting. All of the lights will be LED's and the majority of the lighting will now be directed toward the court. You won't be seeing nearly as much of the stands from tv, etc as you are now. It will have much more of a big time atmosphere.

Phil Ashurst of the Dome will be my guest on BEV today. We're going to talk more about that.

Someone asked if a rendering will be released and I would think yes. But in this case, renderings won't mean much. You'll see the lower level be closer to bowled in and the seats moved closer to the court.

But the real change in this place will come with the lighting.

I think a lot of people won't think it's a big deal until they actually see it. But one of the biggest issues with the Cajundome is lighting-based for basketball. And to create a "light dome" over the court, that darkens the seating areas, is a major atmosphere change for both the fans and the basketball players. I've never enjoyed the lighting in the Cajundome for basketball.
