Do not recruit a QB who cannot run the system that you want to run.

I love option football but what we run with Nixon is not option football. We talk a lot about the offense handcuffing Haack but the system handcuffs Nixon as well.
    Very true.

Better than getting drilled by a team we beat on the road a couple of seasons back. The Zips have no geat history. How did they jet ahead of Hud's 4 won bowl team.

We've got to quit acting like we've got nothing and not to expect steady improvement. Three seasons ago LTUR was awful, and had spurned a bowl invite. Today they're miles ahead. USM has been garbage for years and are exiting their winter.

I expect a qualified QB and a coach who knows how to play to his strengths. I expect high retention rates. I expect a lot of things regardless of program history. His has five recruiting classes. Half a decade is ample time for a coach to erase most negative feelings about his program. Coaches are fired for not producing after three years. We have regressed.

Admit it. You wanted Farmer gone, you wanted to keep Hud here at all cost, and now you're saying Hudspeth is stealing.

Sure thing. I still want Farmer gone...and I'd like for Hud to catch his head. Does that suffice Barrister? Does that make me less of a fan? Am I not allowed to change my mind based on new evidence? How anyone can be anything but skeptical of the Hud we are seeing in year 5, especially in light of his glaring weaknesses in years 2,3, & 4, is beyond me. I hope my admission helps. It sure ain't making our ____ing team any better...now is it?

I've infamously questioned Hud since the Florida game, with some trepidation (understanding the fact that I may just be mad about the outcome, not the process of that game, which can blur objectivity) and gotten crushed for it. When I and a few others started really asking the tough questions after LaTech in 2014, I got crushed for it.

Some of my biggest critics from back then and even as recently as this season have since messaged, called and emailed with a different opinion. People are noticing.

You can fool joe blow who follows the team casually, just happy to be out of the house. You can even fool smart fans for a few years. It's only a matter of time before people that truly follow the team and have a little bit of knowledge start catching on..

You have been pretty vocal the last several months. And you make alot of good points.

But what I don't get is, is that during your petition glory days, you REPEATEDLY stated "Just ask Hudspeth who he wants...Ask Hud behind closed doors who he wants hired."

Why did you value his input so much for who should be the most important hire in UL Athletics history, the RCAF E.D., yet you have been questioning his decisions since 2012??

What's your point? Or do we even care anymore?

Because outside of coaching, Hudspeth is a very aggressive fundraiser for this team because he had to be. This has nothing to do with coaching.
