ST. MARTINVILLE – Starting in a week or so, St. Martin Parish’s historic courthouse will get a face lift, starting from the top down.

The Parish Council Tuesday, Jan. 19, accepted the low bid of $226,700 from a Texas firm to replace the leaky slate roof on the 150-year-old building with a durable hard tile.
