Totally agree. For me it's always been about Tech. In all sports. Ive gotten pretty geeked the last two years when we've beaten them in hoops.

The first game I ever saw vs. McNeese was in 2007. They mean nothing to me except I want to win if we play them.

DMS save your breathe I agree with you and we all know we will need both to win everyone loves the back up until he is the starter. Nixon was a hero until he started so was Haack. Next week the bandwagon QB coaches will be calling for Nixon hence we will need both to win.

We can argue all day long about Nixon and Haack. But given the situation with the two...what Haack can do for this offense makes him the starter in my opinion. He can provide a realistic threat of the deep ball and the offense can throw it around the yard in the short game if needbe. He also can run it just enough to pop a big gain as he did last night. Is he Nixon in the running game? No. But we have 2 other running backs to run it. And I honestly wish Nixon was running it as well. THAT would add much much more to this offense and might be what it needs. Up to this point Eli has carried the run game except for what Nixon has done at QB running it. As a defensive coordinator is pretty simple. Stop either one of those two guys and u win. That's what has happen so far bc there has been no threat of a passing game.

For me its all about winning out or being bowl eligible because we are not going to win the NC. It doesn't matter who plays in the first half because the coaching staff will botch the half anyway. We will need both of the guys with the full offensive scheme to win. As good as people think Haack is let him run the style of offense they are asking Nixon to run with eight in the box and tell me if you feel he will be successful put Jalen in the spread and ask him to throw it 30 times and see if he will be successful. We need to find a happy medium and not give up on either QB. We can't make Nixon a running back because if he gets hurt and Haack gets his bell rung then you have no experience at QB when you are trying to finish strong. I don't trust the coordinators but hell they get paid to do the job got to roll with them.

Then so be it, if Nixon gets hurt then he gets hurt. If Haack goes down then he goes down. Next man up.

Haack will never see 8 in the box, because he can blow the top off the defense consistently. Nixon can't do that. Nixon was 3 for 8 but really he was 1 for 6. The 2 jet sweep completions should count as running plays.

I'm with you on that, plus familiarity negates status.

Last night was a good win.

Not using your assets because the frozen fear of losing Haack and Nixon at the same time is so debilitating scheme wise.

A potential greenhorn can't be the excuse used for benching away a season.

I'm glad for the win, and glad for the players the way they came back from behind. I'm still critical of what I have been seeing on the field, but always happy to see our team win.

There's only a 10% chance Haack makes it. He's under thrown on most of his deep balls this year.

Jalen Nixon has been QB for:
    54 Drives
    310 Plays
    Offense gained 1501 yards
    4.84 Yards Per Play

Brooks Haack has been QB for:
    36 Drives
    202 Plays
    Offense gained 1237 yards
    6.12 Yards Per Play

Each QB has their role and should be utilized accordingly. Up until the 2nd half of the ULM game IMO they were not used in a way that would best suit either QB.

If it were me I would start Haack and put in a hurry up NASCAR package for Nixon. Were we could run an offensive set similar to Auburn who is a heavy run oriented set. Speed up the tempo and script 10 or so play each half fr Nixon to keep the defense off balance. But thats just me.
