At this juncture... and with nothing but SBC teams left in the regular season... you are absolutely correct. It isn't just about both needing to play as much as our staff designing intelligent use of their abilities into the play calling. I would like to see less early game up the middle Eli. I really believe our speed and agility amongst the skill people requires establishing space on the edges and behind the stacked masses between the hash marks. We are not a power team this year, even against the SBC. I'm still liking Eli more in the slot with Pierce taking up the RB "if they blink... he's off to the races". And definitely more slant patterns for Jamal. He's a big target and it's easier for both the QB to see the slant route, throw it fairly quick off the snap, and allow any necessary adjustment by Jamal to go get it.
I know others disagree, but if this coaching staff wasn't so predictably stiff play callers, we could easily run the table from here on out. It isn't a talent void. It's a different kind of talent.
