I wonder how long it will take for someone to trash the team and Tony when we lose a midweek game? This is baseball guys a lot can happen.

I think some of y'all need to damper those expectations a bit. A lot of things are going to have to go right before we can talk super regionals.
I'd temper things a bit as well.
I think the following year is the one.
Seems like pitching should be better, or at least deeper than ever. If we can hit the ball, we will be a very tough team to beat.
And that will be the question mark as we move forward.. We have some talent. But like we had to grow the pitchers last year, we'll have to do the same with the offense this year. But when they come around, we have a chance to be very, very good if the defense is solid and the chemistry works.
I was just thinking to myself.... "well, Self... what are you gonna do now that MLB has finished?"
Then I read this thread. Up or down, I'm excited for some Cajun Baseball. Only three months to go......
Don't get me wrong I am expecting big things out this team. I am also know that this is baseball and anything can happen.
I posted this after our loss to UNO two years ago and I think it is worth repeating.
This team will have some ups and downs, I just hope no one on here ____s on the team or our coaches. I know I may be asking for a lot, but I think Coach Robe has earned some respect."The Cajuns have had a great season so far. To put things in perspective in 2013 there were 11 Major League baseball teams that won 90 games or more and there were 5 teams that won less than 69 games. The teams with 90 plus wins only beat the teams with less than 69 wins 59% of the time. Of the 11 best teams only one of them swept the worst team the Houston Astros. The Cincinnati Reds swept the Houston Astros and then proceed to lose in the playoffs. The Cajuns have won 88% of there games against all opponents and 89% against Sun Belt Conference opponents."
