17 of 44 is wretched. Two big running plays by Nixon accounted for 120 something yards. Not to mention a pick 6.

Like it or not, virtually all our yardage against stAte came after the game was decided and the Red wolves were playing backups in a less aggressive scheme. When they were playing starters and being aggressive we did very little.

I could see it going either way, it is going to be tough

I disagree. IMHO it's the actual game plan itself that is flawed.

Makes sense, big plays rarely happen in college and don't usually count towards total offense.

If we had a great offensive output we would have won. Our QB play sucked.

UL will finish 6-6 and be back in the N.O. Bowl. Probably against a 6-6 or 7-5 USM team. Should be a good match up of two very average football teams.

In 2011 Louisiana led the nation in big play offense.

I think it was 11 touchdowns from over 50 yards out.

To do so, it required a legitimate passing game to thin out the opponents defense.

stAte literally put 11 in the box last Tuesday...11, that's how scared they were of our passing game.
