Considering our pre-2011 history with bowl invites (or lack thereof), I can't imagine a Cajun fan would ever consider taking this position.

Did Jake not deserve a bowl after twice winning co-Big West Championships in the early 90's?

Did we not deserve a bowl in 2005 when we got ____ed out of a three way tie with the N.O. Bowl in our back yard?

Did Des and Fenroy not deserve a bowl in 2008 with LTU-R outmaneuvered us (and Wright Waters left us out to dry) with the Independence Bowl?

I haven't once forgotten about those snubs and I'll take every goddam bowl invite. It's owed to us.

Nope.... That may be owed to certain players but nothing is owed to this team. We get invites against other schools based upon this year. When other schools get invites and we think they don't deserve them we never go back and ask about when they got screwed out of a bowl invite.

The team this season does not deserve an invitation. If we take an invitation when we don't deserve one that makes us as bad as the teams that screwed us in the past.
