If not for a few dropped passes and a fumble by our WR group, Haack would have been given credit for the first SEC victory by this school in his second start.
I firmly believe Haack could have sliced and diced Texas State's defense. I firmly believe ET in the basket of a child's bike could have sliced and diced Texas State's defense. I firmly believe an overweight man in full Knight's armor could have sliced and diced Texas State's defense.
Nixon did his job with his feet very well and almost offset his arm skills.
My worry is that his fontal prowess come at the expense of NFL caliber running back who at least temporarily has been turned into a more than adequate receiver, who in turn is removing the incentive for true receivers to be ready on every play.
Going forward, if we are intent on keeping Nixon as the QB, it should be completely obvious to everybody what needs to be done here.
I see Nixon and McGuire. They sure look a lot like Desmo and Fenroy.
Quit trying to impose your will coach Hud, and bring back the Mighty Ragin Cajun Steamrolling Zone Option Freak Show.
If Haack was the starter from game 1, we would 3-3 at minimum. The QB swapping probably cost the team a W. Haack didnt do anything that he deserved to be benched for.
I'm hearing a lot of talk about our lack of talent at the receiver position.
Perhaps some of the guys UL passed on or the guys UL insulted by asking them to be prefered walk ons could've helped our QB, instead of taking their talents elsewhere.
