  1. UL Football Nixon growing into role as Cajuns starting QB

It's still all about growth for redshirt junior Jalen Nixon.

I'm the voice of reason. Jake, Brian started as true freshman and were immediately good. To still need seasoning or growth as red shirt juniors or true seniors doesn't say much about coaching development or maybe the players. Gauthier came out seasoned as a red shirt senior, and played well.

Gautier had Surgent, Robinson, Javone Lawson, Harry Peoples and Butler to throw to. These guys were good. We get no separation in our passing game and it doesn't help. Haack, who many would obviously call a better passer was having no more success with these receivers. There is a common denominator in this whole equation.

Broadway had all of those guys you listed and still lost 2 of his first 3 games as a starter as well.

He is the 3rd best QB on the roster. He is the worst QB we have had since Nick Dugas. The kid would be perfect to fill Harris' role but we refuse to go that route.

I keep trying to point this out. These guys still think we have a good recieving corps that's lacking a QB. Other than Eli and Gabe we don't have receivers.

You left out that 6'6" guy that's playing in the NFL right now.

Hard to look good when you go 17 for 44. There were only 3 drops against stAte. Riles had 2, I forget who had the other one. But there was 24 horrendous passes, many to open WRs. It is not a WR problem as much as it is a scheme and utilization problem.
