I truly hope he gets another shot. I'm just not sure he's all you think he is.

That stat about the QBR isn't accurate by the way.

It was for the Akron game. He won't get another shot. ____ poor QB play cost us a W last night and Haack never even warmed up.

Haack was the better QB going into the spring. Hud and his staff had ample time to come up with an offensive gameplan to highlight his strengths. They chose not to. They chose to shove Haack into a scheme that only Nixon could run half ___. They ____ed Haack. Plain and simple. No black and white in this situation. Our head coach torpedoed a player he recruited because he didn't get the end result he wanted. I hope his ego is worth $1,000,000 a year...cause his coaching sure as ____ isn't.

People seem to be mixing up talent and fundamentals. Talent is speed-raw and "football speed", eye hand coordination, "hands", etc. Fundamentals is correct tackling form, correct coverage technique, correct blocking and rushing techniques, etc. We have guys who demonstrated enough "talent" to be considered 2-3 star athletes. At our level, that is enough "talent" to win. On top of that we have a RB who has the "talent" to play perhaps in the NFL. You are not seeing a talent problem, you are seeing a lack of fundamental (blocking and tackling) coaching, a simplistic, unimaginative offensive scheme being run by a RB at quarterback, and a defensive staff that takes half a game to figure out what to do. Put all that together and you see what you see. We had plenty of "talent" Bustle's last year and won like 3 games. Hud came in and coached them up and won a bowl. I'm not sure why our coaching effectiveness has dropped off so significantly, but it has.

If we could chart Hud's coaching ability and his salary...the graphs would be inverse. As salary goes up, coaching ability goes down. Let's pray he never gets another raise. We might be trying to do the Colts fake punt every 4th down if that happens.

I think they believe the recruiting sites more than anyone and believe we can man handle everyone now that they have "their guys". I don't think we are that much more talented if at all, we look prettier in uniform and on paper but we aren't heads and shoulder aboube bustles guys. His first year HUD coached thinking he had inferior players and he coached that way. Lately, we do w lot more just showing up and expecting to win. They has been a mindset change, we have become soft mentally.... The coaches.

No...they aren't. That's a bold faced lie. You are doing the same thing Boomer is doing. Maximizing the teams who have beaten us, and minimizing any responsibilities the coach should carry the brunt of.

Akron was bigger, stronger, faster than us. It was over after the first series.

If that was the case...so was Texas State. Both first halves of both games were eerily similar. Akron wasn't bigger, stronger, or faster than us. Their coach wasn't a stubborn jackass. When you out stubborn a Bowden...you need to make some changes.

More talented than what? Our 2011 team? Or our opponents? Nobody can tell me Akron and la tech are 3-4 touchdowns more talented. They possess better fundamentals (they tackle people when they make contact) and they are not running simplistic offenses with RBs at qb. I love Nixon. It's not his fault he's out of position. He's killing himself to win. But he's not a quarterback. If we are going to say ____ it and play a RB at qb, then put our best one there and run the damn veer. Disclosure: I do not actually want to run the veer. Lol.
