He's killing himself to win. But he's not a quarterback. If we are going to say ____ it and play a RB at qb, then put our best one there and run the damn veer. Disclosure: I do not actually want to run the veer. Lol.
No, I think the coaches think we are heads and shoulders above when they got here.

Well then that's an even larger indictment. Cause we can't even tackle well right now. And the only consistent offensive play we have is the zone read.

So it looks like we have the "coaches are idiots" crowd vs the "players suck" crowd. By the shear volume of their post, I think the coaches are idiots guys will win out on RP.
My humble opinion is that the coaches are the constant and the players are the variable. It is now painfully obvious the players we have today are not as good as the players we had previously. Especially on the line of scrimmage and QB, we have a talent issue. That does not mean the coaches get a pass. They recruited these guys and thought they could play. In order to save the season they will have to make some adjustments. People here have made some good suggestions, but I think teams with weaknesses at QB, OL and DL are bound to fail no matter what the scheme is.

You can see how stubborn the coaches are...in their gameplans...in their personnel decisions...in the way they talk to the media. It just oozes out of every pore.

I can't speak for anyone else but I don't think they are idiots. But it's hard to not think our schemes along with fundamental coaching is a problem this year. I think they can fix it, but I'm not going to pretend we don't run the same unsuccessfull plays over and over, are frequently out of position, and can't seem to tackle.

    Key Word: ....Adjustments....

Good coaches know how to adjust to schemes based off of their personel. That's what shocks most of our fans right now. It's the fact that we are running the same schemes as if our past players who have graduated are still here. Ringo, Hamilton, Harris, and Broadway are gone. It's time to adjust to what we have NOW. When your team is down 27-0, you don't all of a sudden give the ball to your best player in open space. That's something that should be done on your first possession after the opening kickoff. We pay our coaches way too much money to run the same schemes that don't work week in and week out.

Heck, move Nixon to running back. Why not? Can it really hurt at this point? I'd rather that than treat Eli like a power back running him up the middle 10-15 times a game for minimal yardage. He becomes a huge liability doing that. And our passing game right now? Throwing off of your back foot up for grabs to Robinson ain't gonna cut it. We have way too much talent on the receiving core going waste with these pointless designed pass plays. THEY DON'T WORK!!!!!!

As for our tackling fundamentals defensively........there is none.

Davis needs to be starting, if the hype is legit (because of you listen to this staff for the past 3 years, we should have USC type talent), next week or ppl need to lose their jobs. Plain and frickin simple. This season is over and we need to plan for 2016. Let Davis prove himself, learn in game action and set these kids up to win next season.

Davis or Haack at qb, Eli and Nixon at RB, and scheme like you have nothing to lose. Cause at this point we don't.

I'll disagree with you here. I don't think the season is over. We plays 4 bad teams (ULM, Georgia State, NMSU, & Troy), 1 decent team (South Alabama), and 1 team that will likely hang 60 on us (App State). If Hud can get his head out of his ___...we should beat the fantastic (sarcasm) 4. Hell, even if he doesn't...we should still beat them. I think the quality of our opponents is contributing to Hud's new mentality. With how bad these teams are...preparation and coaching players up...is for the birds.

They've already alienated Haack. They've disrespected the kid and his work, AND his commitment. (He will probably go back to a QB breeding ground in the area he's from and not endorse this school or staff at all). Let Brooks transfer out to a competent staff, so that young man can continue his career. He deserves it.

Let Jordan Davis sling it around and see what we have. Unless promises made during recruiting are blocking this scenario, (and that should be the case), it's the only option.
