Now Georgia Southern has modernized the traditional triple option and run it out the gun but it's still the same thing.

It doesn't take long to incorporate aspects of it though. Not make a full overhaul but bring a 2nd RB in the backfield and triple option it or use the speed option like ark state used against us. Speed option would be good with Nixon and Eli. Get them in space and make the defense decide who to stop.

We complaining loudly about the offense and its schizophrenic identity. But the Cajuns gave up 37 points in the game, 34 in the first half. Granted the defense was not reponsible for all of it, but first half we look sloppy. Missed tackles, wide open holes stAte could drive a truck through. We're giving up points by the bushel every game. I mean think about it, 27 points ought to be enough to win a game. It's past due we lock it down on defense to give our offense a chance to out score the other team. Defense doesn't appear to be as much of a priority at UL. We need a stout defense if we're ever going to win a championship much less enjoy another winning season. DEFENSE!

We have the offense 4, 3 and outs and they didn't do anything with it. The defense played well enough to win. They could have played better but they got zero help in the first half.. We held them to 3 points in the 2nd half...3 points, after spending the whole first half on the field agains a really good uptempo offense.

I have no doubt that the way this coaching staff recruited Haack just to let him rot on the bench because they are incapable of making adjustments to their scheme to utilize their talent (also known as coaching) will prevent any good passing QBs that have other offers from signing with the Cajuns.

Nixon is the better player politician, and receivers have shown that they are willing to drop balls in order to get their politician under center.

Here is the result:
1) A natural QB operating at 0% on the bench.

2) A RB/FB build type operating at 70% as a QB.

3) A Nationally recognized RB operating at 25% and functioning more as a receiver.

4) Receivers who got what they wanted except their choice can't get them the ball except in rare occasions.

The problem is multiple players playing out of position (or benched) lowering overall production exponential.

I don't know that we did recruit him. There is a chance he came to us on his own to join his sister.
