And before that, they somehow stumbled into the AAC from CUSA. Oh, and their men's basketball RPI last season [89] was the WORST RPI for the Tigers in this century, by over 40 spots.

In the sports that matter on a national level, and for money purposes, the Cajuns aren't even close. In 1970-1973 we were close. In 1986-1989 we were fairly close.
Last year and this year do not make a "program". I was referring to Hud's tenure here as a measuring stick. They have had a solid year and a half. They appear to be doing things the right way but their program, prior to this year was in no better shape than ours, if not worse and while they currently appear to be building something, we will see if consistency grows from this. Not even sure what the men's basketball RPI has to do with their current state of football.

The previous 2 years to him taking over Memphis went 1-11 and 2-10. Since he took over he went from 4-8 in 2012 to 10-4 in 2014 so the fact that they are 6-0 this season is not surprising. He built it from the ground up and is reaping the rewards. Right now he is the hottest G5 coach on the market.

I think the problem a lot of us see with our coaching staff is the lack of improvement. In year 5 I don't think it's to much to ask that we no longer lay complete eggs in games. I don't think anyone expects us to go undefeated but getting curb stomped by Akron and being completely outclassed by La Tech is not what we'd expect in year 5.

I'm a realist and know that being in the belt does hurt us when it comes talent levels but I do expect us to look prepared. With this coaching staff we have all seen multiple games that it seemed like they started to game plan the morning of the game.
So, you are saying you agree with me then?

Kinda but not completely. It is year 4 of rebuilding and they are 6-0 with a 10 win season last year. That to me means they have a better football program at this moment than we do. Have they shown consistency Over a 10 year period, no but their program is still worlds above ours.

Better conference, better history (over the past 20 years), better market, better facilities (until 1 month ago,) bigger fanbase, and a bigger budget.

Is it really that surprising that it's easier for them to achieve success than us?

We're heading in the right direction but we've still got an awfully long way to go.

Louisiana has better football players than Tennesee, and a lot more of them. We just gotta get our share.

Does anyone think Boise had more talent when they started beating some of those big guys? But here, we are willing to give our staff a pass until the university president steps up. Heck...we can't beat some of the OOC small guys.

    ??
No one gets a pass....top to bottom

And if that's the case, then I have no reason to continue my season tickets and RCAF.
We already beat Akron ....should have beaten them AGAIN.....

That's true, but Memphis holds their own with local athletes. And they have a pretty good recruiting area. Memphis has advantages over us in football.

---Cajun T could give us the scoop---but about 2 years ago we lost 2 LBs to them but we got 1---well something like that---Like I have said the regionals are Rice, Houston, maybe SMU, maybe Tulsa, Ark St, LTUR, MOnroe, Memphis, S Miss, and Tulane---If we could get one a year from these we would be very good!! ---Talkin 2.8 to 3 star dudes!!!
