If you disagree with the process then I agree but this isn't the time or place to fight a process that has been in place for decades.
Well if that doesn't say it all, nothing does.

Today schools are openly doing what UL got banned for 4.5 decades ago.

Bowl games aren't even under NCAA control, to vacate one is retarded.

This offense is pre-UL by a secretive pre-trained rogue coach.

There is no way they throw the book at UL for this, no way.

Leave everything on the table, cooperate, ask for leniency, and lets find out with a clean slate where the NCAA mindset sits in 2015.

We will have to agree to disagree.

I suggest everyone go to the NCAA website and review the enforcement procedures and guidelines. It is clear that UL has chosen to go the route of most schools and seek Summary Disposition. As such you are required to submit your own suggestion of penalties. The NCAA even has in their by-laws what the penalties should be based on the Level (1 in this case) and any mitigating circumstances.

It is also clear that schools are held responsible for the actions of individuals. The good thing is that they do recognize the difference between Level 1 infractions committed by individuals and those committed by "the organization". This is a well defined process (not that you have to agree with it) that was updated in 2013. Academic Fraud is listed as a Level 1 offense as is individual unethical or dishonest conduct (violations 3 &4). From what I can tell UL certainly did not give away the house. The penalties we proposed seem to be on the lower end of the NCAA bylaw guidelines.

Obviously you are in the majority and I am probably alone in my take.

I just feel knee jerk, cookie cutter, canned responses generally serve low long term value.

Given their financial straits, they susceptible to all kind of "lack of institutional control" situations. Not saying they are doing anything wrong, but PB&J can be a bit pricey.
Lamers closedown their basketball program instead of facing NCAA music.

The NCAA says it's your responsibility to know everything. They're not going to go lighter than we have. You're playing with fire.

I don't see it as knee jerk. They've known about this investigation for over a year.

Exactly. And I would assume that have been receiving legal advice from folks with experience in these matters.

Interesting fact... When they did the overhaul and went from two levels of infractions to four levels one of the most glaring changes involved head coaches. To summarize...your GUILTY! The NCAA now assumes the head coach is responsible unless they can prove otherwise. Don't guess the NCAA believes in democratic principles.

The NOA also states that Crager was removed from her position by ACT in 2014 for "suspected impropriety in connection with the exam." Crager became the ACT supervisor at Wayne County in the 1990s and "has not missed an ACT at Wayne County during that time," according to the NOA.

I don't see anything knee-jerk about this one. This process has been ongoing for a couple years now.

You can read about Ginny Crager in the book Meat Market: Inside the Smash-Mouth World of College Football Recruiting. It looks like she is in her 70s now.
