So we couldn't pass the SATs but we just turned in the highest GPA in the belt and school history for athletes two years (maybe three) in a row?

He allegedly told the recruits if they were unsure about an answer to just leave the question blank and when the test were turned in, the administrator would fill in the correct answers before she sent them to SAT. It is pretty detailed and it looks like they have a pretty solid case.

So how does that jive with student athlete not being knowingly involved?

This. Mid majors are the perfect whipping boys to make examples of to teach the "big boys" a lesson. This will probably not end well for us.

We corrected the problem as soon as we were sure about Saunders and self-imposed sanctions on ourselves. What else could we have done?

how do you know we self-imposed? and what were the sanctions we observed?
