  1. UL Basketball Sun Belt approves new basketball schedule

The Sun Belt will have a new basketball schedule format starting with the 2016-17 season

I was personally hoping for a 16 game conference schedule where you'd play division foes home/home each year (10 games) and the opposite division teams once each year on a rotating home/away basis each year (6 games). I thought that would allow us more flexibility for better home game scheduling. Additionally, it would set up where you didn't have a situation for tie breakers at the end of the year against someone you didn't play which I always hated. JMO

You know, I would still have a subscription to the paper, but they tried to strong arm me into a digital subscription as well. They lost a reader.

I'm not paying for something I don't use.

Pretty sure I have free access to the digital paper with my home delivery service.

You are paying for both. When they started this, my bill went up. I called, and they said the digital subscription was required now to get the paper. That hasn't changed.

I stopped subscribing when Ms. Lincoln reneged on the pre-existing naming policy for UL throughout the paper.

The scheduling is a breakthrough economically because last year we were making multiple trips to the same state and spending considerably more on travel expenses. They probably also had to take the bus on some occasions when the distance was more appropriate for plane travel.

I understand the 16 game wish, but I'm very happy we are not going to have divisions.

Can you give your thoughts on this, or is this going to be a blog?
