It is the same as it was in 2014: UL will go into Sun Belt Conference play at 1-3.

They may not act like they are 1-3 but they sure looked like it.
ATXCajun - who was late for work this morning due to an appointment but otherwise had a productive day and enjoyed some McDonald's on the long commute home and was on point with all of the evening chores because his wife had a parent club meeting - loves the optimism.
Now Buckley no longer has the longest interjecting phrase (if that's what it is called) in history. I think. Maybe I should count the words again.
Well we can expect to get better when the opponent gets worse. Yea, I see the Zips in no bowl again this year. So last year we played a vastly improved LTUR, Ole Miss, and ever strong Boise. This year a mediocre Kentucky, not Ole Miss, about the same LTUR, and Akron not Boise. With the exception of Boise, because Akron isn't Boise, it looks a lot like last year.
In this year I expect stAte to be a better team, and we play them at home. App. State a better team and we play them at home. TxSt will be a better team, ULMost, Troy, USA all better. NMSU, and GaSt can score but still have problems winning. It will be difficult to duplicate last season, because we are not as good.

----Hey C-Ex, I know that the season is still young but Kent lost by 5 to Fla who killed OM 38-10 (think Kentucky is better than mediocre)-------Akron lost by 2 points to a damn good Ohio team (The Akron's transfers are starting to show)-----and this year Tech is the real deal with their juco transfers and great skilled people!!!----We have lost 3 games but they weren't bad teams to say the least!!!
---Hawk and C-Ex----I want you to go to the Massey deal and look up who Akron lost to and then to see who those teams that beat them lost to if anybody---Same thing with Kentucky with the only lost to undefeated Fla---also check the LTURs who got beaten by WKU and K State!!! With that said we need to step it up now!!!
It doesn't matter who they lost to...or beat...to quote Dennis Green...They are who we thought they were. Don't try and elevate this team to diminish the utter failure that was the Akron game or even the Tech game. Those are two programs that we should never take solace in getting blown out by. We start down that road...we die on the vine. They should be our peers...not our betters.
---I agree that we should be better---no doubt---but did you at least check out the facts I asked you to look at---Doesn't take long---just look at it!!! Look at the teams that beat K State (undefeated Ok St) and WKU (Indiana with one loss to Ohio St)---look at the teams that beat Fla (none)---For Akron look who Ohio lost to!!!
The facts don't matter. When we start throwing up moral victories for getting plastered by two teams we should be competing with...we have completely, and without exception, lost. Teams play other teams differently, and trying to compare them is ludicrous. That doesn't change the fact that taking any solace in what the past two games outcomes have been is the worst possible thing this fan base, this team, and this coaching staff could ever do. There is no silver lining. There is no light at the end of the tunnel. There is no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow...in fact...there is no rainbow. They should be taking it like their parents just died. It should be that serious to them, and to us.
There are a core group of fans within this base that will always tout a moral victory because of our dark past. These people don't realize that they are actually hurting UL. If Ray A taught you anything, it's PROGRESS OR DIE. Akron and Tech should NEVER blow us out like that. NEVER. Not now, after we've done so much catching up to where we could have been all along.
