Thread: Hudspeth's point: More early scoring needed by UL

  1. UL Football Hudspeth's point: More early scoring needed by UL

After three losses this year in which UL had just seven first-half points each, Mark Hudspeth wants more early scoring

Does Hud really expect our offense to have rythm whenever he can't even pick a QB? Pick a %#$&ing QB and stick with it. Also, IMO, I think play calling need to be taken away from Jay Johnson.

We scored early...got blown out. This ain't worth $1,000,000.

More scoring early? How about more scoring all the time? Our offense is terrible!

But we scored 44 against NWST so we're good right!?

The only way to win the game is to have more points than your opponent at the end of the game.

Stick with Haack and move Nixon to RB. Open up the offense and find OL who can provide some pass protection.

Nixon isn't moving to RB, so leave that alone. We need a mobile QB just as we've needed one the last several years. Our O line hasn't been great at pass blocking in a while, Broadway was always under pressure so there's nothing new here. I'm not sure who the answer is at QB, but if Haack is going to be the guy, he's gonna have to run and run often. This has been the nature of our offense under HUD and Bustle for that matter.

Why do people think Nixon can play RB? He never gets hit in practice and when he does get hit in the game he is injured. He would have to remake his body in the weight room to play RB.

That's right. And once you work out to be a running back... you're QB abilities go to pot. We can't put Nixon in at RB.
