If we dont show up better in conference, that will be a different conversation.
The line had moved to 14.5 three or four hours prior to kickoff. I didn't expect Louisiana Tech to cover.

Read my other posts. I said Tech was a solid team, and that's what they are. You lost to a very average K State team. The point is, there's absolutely no excuse to be embarrassed by the likes of Akron and an in state rival in consecutive weekends.

Tech was superior across the board, and that's completely unacceptable, and should not be tolerated at this piont in our program.

Fair enough and thank you. I hope you enjoyed your visit to Ruston and were treated well. The Cajun fans I interacted with were enjoyable and very nice folks.

Maybe then you will stop referring to us on all the other sites as 'illegal,' 'unethical,' 'horrific' and 'low class???'
And I bet you didn't share with them, face to face, all the things you say about us from behind your little keyboard.
You are scum and a hypocrit.

And as usual I don't think you fully understood his post, lol.

I will take three for this Saturday

From a demographic standpoint, LaTech, stands in a very good location. It has been documented, that colleges recruit effectively on an average area of 722 miles from its location site.

Sitting where LaTech is, they have a great area to pick from. Miss., Ark., Tex., Ok. & La.

Also being in the conference they are in helps also. Then just throw in their television market doesn't hurt either. Oh, and add the little fact that the casinos are just around the corner. Now add the fact they have now kicked our ___ 8 straightt times.

Additionally, we won our last 4 bowl games.

We have a great APC, but that's only good for so much.

As with anything, you start with a roux, if it gets burned, the whole gumbo is ruined. Same is true with talent, or lack of.

I believe the coaching is there, but the 60% new coaching haven't worked together for any length of time, and are getting use to a new system, with a very young & inexperienced team. From where I stand, the coaches need a consistent off. Scheme. The last 2 games, the off. Game plan seemed to be non-exsistant. We need a lot of 3 star men with maybe a couple 4 star sprinkled in.

    JMHO---

I accepted Tech was good before the game and nothing I saw changed my mind. I do wish we would play every year so that we may catch you in a rebuilding year occasionally. Obviously this is not it. I expect the Bulldogs to get a rematch with WKU in the CUSA championship game and I think they win it this time. Also impressed with your fans in that they were there in full support of the team and could have cared less with the tailgating socializing aspect. I wish more of our fans had that attitude. Of course, if we had the talent the Bulldogs have this year, they mad do so.

Glad y'all made the trip. It was great to see a nice group of Cajuns on Saturday. Regardless of outcome, it was an ideal day for tailgating & game. I'm really surprised that our 2 schools haven't rescheduled our series, hopefully in the near future. Good luck the rest of the season, we need y'all to find your stride & start kicking some Arss!

They had a great QB transfer--a great one---They had the best RB in Ark---they have the Taylor kid and the Gaines kids that can fly----they have gotten some good jucos and picked up some damn good 3 stars from around---We have had very good recruiting years and the 9-4s prove it----the difference is that we don't have the 3 star play makers that didn't make it here or who are now gone because of different reasons---Hud runs a tough ship and loses some kids because of it by way of academic, conditioning, and rules in general---No doubt that when kids see the new campus, the new Athletic facilities, and the future stadium plans recruiting will pick up even more----We need to just do like last year and win!!!

With all due respect, "the difference" is not what you stated, at least not the only difference. The biggest difference in the Tech game, the Akron game and the games that we lost last year and the year before is the P!$$ poor coaching. I'm listening to Jay and Scott right now, and they are missing the point, at least from my standpoint. It's not that we lost. Quite frankly, I did not assume a win against Tech prior to this season beginning, but just as in the previous two seasons in out of conference games against better competition, I expected to see a close, competitive game. However, what we are seeing against non conference opponents from better conferences are blow outs where we are getting out coached by a mile. I understand that we are due for a "down year/rebuilding year", but even in those years, I expect to see improvement, and even if we lose the games, it shouldn't be because of poor coaching. What I am seeing is poor tackling (a coaching issue), poor fundamentals (a coaching issue), poor game planning on both offensive and defensive sides of the ball (a coaching issues), bone head penalties (a coaching issue). I heard Jay indicate that Hud took the blame for the call at the end of the first half where Nixon just threw it up in the air, and according to Jay, Hud said he was frustrated and was just trying to make something happen. ??????????? WTF!!!!??????? Really????? I could see a coach getting paid $250k a year making that call (still wouldn't understand it, but I could see it happening), but a coach making $1mil a year with expectations of attaining a HC job in a bigger conference, no way. I'm not calling for Hud to be fired, but if the trend continues for the remainder of the season, I expect to see a whole new set of assistant coaches next year.
