...which is why I thought Nixon should have been his replacement. It seems like they are trying to give McGuire both roles. Not working out so well.

We should have put Nixon at RB and named Brooks the starter and be done with it. Put the Fr. as backup and never looked back. I think this is part of the "chemistry" issues the team may be having right now. This should have been dealt with in the offseason.

This! I believe you could be seeing a little bit of a power struggle. The Nixon faction v the Haack faction.

Due to Hud's inability to make the decision on a clear cut #1 and #2.

This is one of the reasons I didn't like the QB battle going as long as it did. Name a starter and roll with it. If it doesn't work make the switch but going back and forth doesn't work when the roles aren't clearly defined.

We aren't going to solve the Tech game challenges by deciding a new rout with our QBs. Akron wasn't lost by our QBs. It took the entire team, including the coaches, to make that mess.

Eli just needs more touches. He averaged near 6 ypc sat. There's not a damn thing wrong with that other than he only had 15 carries.

In hindsight, using Akron to practice for a Louisiana vs Tech shootout was a mistake ... at least for the Akron game.

Jay Johnson is a joke! Been saying it for years. Every other coach on the staff gets held accountable except him.
