You're right & wrong. I agree that Hud should have the right to shut the building down to a lot of outside distractions going on. And he should have done that from the beginning of the move into the place. But you are dead wrong in saying that building belongs to the program, & not to you & me. Speak for yourself, but the money that a lot of people like myself put into the program is what built, & will pay for that building. So in essence we are as much a part of the program as anyone not wearing a player's uniform. Personally I made a conscious effort to stay away until I knew everything was completed, & had been moved into, & it wouldn't be a distraction to the team to go see the digs. But I expect that one day after the season is over, I'll go ask for, & get permission to tour the facilities for myself. Because as a pretty good size contributor to the program for the last five years, I definitely feel a sense of ownership of what this program, this coaching staff, & this team has been able to accomplish over the past four seasons. And if they go whip LTU's behinds this Saturday, I'm pretty sure not too many people will give a good crap about what happened this past Saturday. On the other hand, if they get whipped again, the feedback will be justifiably negative with good reason.

I pay taxes every year. Do you think the secret service will allow me to walk into the White House any time I want?

I sincerely hope he will clarify his remarks in the presser today and take ownership for this loss. Making excuses and skirting blame is something that can be contagious, to the players
In total agreement with this. He 'saw it coming' and didn't properly adjust for it. This is exactly what the head coach is supposed to do, manage distractions. And we always lose a game we are supposed to win due to some coaching oversite. How are we supposed to get better each season, if there is always a brain fart game?

Give without expecting anything in return (not even a thank you). That is unconditional kindness ... everything else is ego ....Timber Hawkeye

I give because the University helped me see the opportunities in front of and some how I was smart enough to take them. I give to help the University expand which in turns drive this towns economy. A strong UL make a strong Lafayette. Not to see my name in a book, or on a building as some "good size contributor".

The difference is that it is against the law not to pay your taxes. Donating to the RCAF is strictly voluntary. Every contributor can stop donating any time they choose to do so.

Actually you can schedule an appointment with your local congressman and get a tour.
