I didn't have a preference one way or the other but you would think the coach seeing it becoming a distraction could take care of it. Like walk in to your AD's office and give him a schedule of when it can be toured... Maybe during the 3 hours a day they are at practice.

I am very disappointed in Hud for making excuses (any excuses) for that miserable performance. He had the power to prevent or limit those tours. Blaming the fans that took a tour for that pile of crap performance is sad. I thought that was out of character for him. I guess I only know what I read about him though.

I sincerely hope he will clarify his remarks in the presser today and take ownership for this loss. Making excuses and skirting blame is something that can be contagious, to the players

Maybe Hud needs to read the Bear's book:

Paraphrasing here: "You only need to know three things to make kids want to play for you. When things go great you tell them "Ya'll done real good." When things go as expected but not exceeding your expectations you tell them "We did a pretty good job tonight, fellows." When things go bad you tell them "I am sorry, guys. I just didn't do enough to get you ready to play today."

No, people asked if there would ever be any, and that after the season, or during off times was fine. Other people said that it could not possibly be done without being a distraction--which is absurd. The tours we were talking about haven't even happened yet. And they do not need to happen until the off season. The tours Hud has been talking about was for all the insiders. I'm not sure how you avoid those---there is a political nature to all of this. But if HUD thought they were a distraction he should have stopped them or removed his team from the distraction.

Don't pretend like there weren't plenty of people (including myself) saying it would cause a distraction.

You realize those tours have not happened yet, right? The tours for the general RCAF public? The ones we all said could happen after the season or in off time if necessary? Of course you don't. You read what you want and ignore the rest.

Great article BTW. Luke Johnson does an incredible job covering the Cajuns.

What the hell are you talking about? Hawk was trying to imply that no one could have seen that distraction coming. All I did was point out the fact that plenty of people saw it coming.

I didn't say a one single freakin' word about you and I never ever said tours could never happen. I just said they couldn't and shouldn't happen NOW. For a guy who tries to accuse me of reading what I want, you sure have a bad habit of doing the exact same thing.
