UL — Mark Hudspeth lost his composure Saturday night. His team had just been manhandled at home by Akron — a solid program, but not one you'd expect a Hudspeth-coached Louisiana team to get physically dominated by.

Excellent read Luke. I agree 100%. Lessons can be learned from the players also.
Nailed it Luke. How this team plays on Saturday will speak volumes about Coach's post-game comments.
Yep....on the money Luke......it will be very interesting to see what happens Saturday night in Ruston....another trend set by Hud is following a poor performance against an opponent by a good one the next year.
Holy shllt! Outstanding piece of journalism! Thanks so much, Luke!!! I have confidence HUD will have the boys ready to play next weekend!

Slap-yo- momma honesty.
I have no problem with what Hud said. It was correct. I just have a problem with our inability to make things right when you could see the focus heading south as early as 4 days prior to the game. That's a lot of time to right the ship.
Luke, great perspective... and an honest simple response. I don't really care what Hud blames that game performance on. If it works for him, go for it. He was one of a very few that saw what he's describing. If he says that APC move in was the mother distraction of all mother football distractions... have at it.
I didn't think that could take the nuts off of a football team. But I'm not into the modern day psychology of football and college athletes. I had no idea a new athletic performance center could denut a football team. I was hoping it was an inspirational addition to our system. I guess we let the kids open the presents too early. We thought they were on the verge of being adults and they proved otherwise.
This will probably be a tough week to be an athlete wearing a Cajun football uniform and a host of coaches that don't understand how to manage them. How did we go to a bowl in New Orleans and actually step up our game? A new APC did us in? Wow.
Great article Luke. Cannot be said any better.
