For the last 16 months, James and Kathleen Landry have been living in a FEMA mobile home and wondering if their brick home will ever be repaired.
This week they may get their answer thanks to 11 AmeriCorps volunteers, who are at their home.
At the beginning of 2008, the winds of Hurricane Gustav knocked down an old Oak tree. The tree fell on the Landry’s home and split the home in half.
James was in the home at the time the tree fell and managed to escape the wrath of the tree.
