Thread: 2 week game plan

    Default 2 week game plan

This is how I'd like to see the coaches approach the next 2 weeks. If Haack can take care of business beat Akron with out the need of a change of pace QB, don't use or show Nixon at all. Tech will see the last 2 games film and think Haack is the man and we are playing just one QB here on out and will prepare for Haack all week. Then on the very first series in Ruston come out with Nixon and zone read them down the field. They come off the field in a panic make adjustments then bring in Haack.

Obviously this will be discussed with QBs and won't create any controversy in the locker room

It would easy to say that Tech is that dumb, but they know Nixon's ability. They will have the Kentucky tape.

So you honestly think none of the coaches at LA Tech saw Nixon play against Kentucky or looked at this season's stats for our QBs? ...or do you simply like the idea of attempting to confuse LA Tech for the first 5 minutes of the game?

I am not even sure if this is a serious thread.

Of course they know his ability, but if Haack has taken 95% of the snaps how much practice time will they spend game planning on stopping Nixon? Probably not very much.

Well turb. If you play Nixon and don't go heavy zone read (running is his strength) then just don't play him at all.
