3 Alumni Buses Going to Tech Game 10 Slots Available

Alumni Association is sponsoring a bus trip to the La. Tech game on Oct. 3rd. To date, two buses are full and they are accepting registration for a waiting list. 10+ folks to date are on the waiting list. If enough interest is shown ( ~ 30 more folks sign up on the waiting list), an attempt to secure a third bus will be made. I presume that the sooner they see there is enough additional interest, the sooner they can begin attempts to secure a third bus and the greater the likelihood they will be successful in doing so. There is a link to register for the waiting list on the Alumni website. Shown below is the link to the Alumni Association Website. Look on the bottom right hand corner of the page for upcoming events. There you will see the info about the trip. Hopefully, enough folks sign up for the third bus as that is my preferred method of going. Somehow, I missed the original email asking folks to sign up for the trip.

A, B, C, D, F, and R lots directly around the stadium are all reserved, you can't even enter the stadium streets without a tag.

There are two $10 lots (Pink & Red) across the street.

Tailgating is first come first serve in the grassy area around the TAC (Blue circle next to A/B lots), you might be able to drop off your tent and supplies on the West side of the TAC/Alabama Ave then go park

Also I would imagine any grassy area around the $10 lots is also first come first serve.

The Orange "free parking" lots are all student/dorm parking so might be difficult to find a spot.

Also, be aware the little black line running East-West below the baseball fields is the Train Track, it has a pedestrian bridge over and Tech Drive goes under it.

If we weren't visiting relatives, we would be on the alum bus. We went to the Monore game last year and it was great! If you are on the fence about driving there and back, you should seriously consider doing the bus trip. JMO.

It usually is. I know it includes food and beverages (beer) at the tailgating area.

Just spoke to the alumni folks: there is indeed a third bus going, so we need to change the name of the thread, lol. Here is some more info she gave me:

1. There are ~10 seats left on the 3rd bus, so if you want to geaux, better get a move on. Depending on interest they will try to add a 4th one.

2. The cost is $75, if you don't have a ticket, $45 if you do. They will be leaving @11:30 from the alumni center, but I forgot to ask if parking would be allowed there.

3. Included in the 'fare' are snacks, water, pop and BEER for both going up there and for celebrating after. They are suggesting eating lunch before boarding, as they will not be stopping en route. Also included is the jambalaya and etc during the tailgating.

4. They will be leaving after the game, so except a late home arrival. But this is the best way, given the options of having to stay in the ruston area.....and all the many limitations that involves.
