Thread: 2015 Enrollment

other factors enter into the enrollment increase----retention of continuing student body (yes if you have a higher ACT and GPA you tend to not flunk out)----the JUCO allows 17 and 18n year olds to catch their head and study after some success-----The incredible cleanup and buildup as has been mentioned----Also you have got to give the athletics part its due (the TV of the baseball and softball along with the NOBowl and Belt tourney in NO) Hey and don't forget the Cajun culture that kids seem to gravitate towards!!!

The thing I am having trouble figuring out is why we did not increase more than 2something %being reported.

I mean, we definitely increased in the first time freshmen category, as well as the OOS and post-grad numbers. All of those were better than last year, yet last year we had an increase of well over 3%.

    Am I missing something?

My nephew is there for proximity to hunting and fishing heaven. Doubt he will be a regular at sporting events.

Come on.....A better conference is more important that all of that......sarcasm off....Agreed...... we need to take a step back and appreciate all of the growth and change on campus.

This is a sports board that covers other issues. He gets lots of love for that. Still waiting on tier one academia.

Don't we need something like 10 PhD programs and 100 PhDs to attain Doc I status? If not, just what is the criteria? I would be interested in seeing how many PhD programs we have and how many students enrolled in each. That would give us some idea of how close we are to Doc I.

Currently have 9 Doctoral programs. Please don't refer to them as PhD programs.

I stand corrected. Do you know the criteria for Doc 1 and how we stand in that regard?

I'm not sure where you think we're going to expand ON TO the horse farm. But they have a master plan and it's all pretty much used

No problem on the Doctoral referance. My wife has a DNP(Doctorate of Nursing Practice) and has to correct people constantly.

I really don't know where we need to be to attain Doc 1 status.

Pagin' Doctor Fun. Is Doc Fun in the house?
