What is a troll question? I stated a fact. We have not won an outright championship. We have not beaten an SEC team. When do we get what we paid for?

Our spring sports are putting up. I want and expect more out of our football team where we are spending more money than all the other sports put together.

I'm really not sure how all the pieces fit in building a football program. I've been on the scene since 1972 and to be honest with you I think we have been making up the past four years for 30+ years of neglect. Still, I wonder if our leaders have really opened up their support capability for sports full throttle.

What I like about Hudspeth is that he gets things done in terms of raising money and upgrading facilities, so I hope he stays as long as possible. If he wasn't here, I don't think anyone else could push and achieve those kinds of results. On the field, I don't really know what to expect how soon. But I know the only winning season the previous 15 years was 6-5. We had two bowl teams in 100 years and then four in a row.

I think there are some things holding us back that isn't the football program's fault. For one thing, student fees. Another thing, being in the Sun Belt.

This job is tough. Listen to those announcers now. Now they're calling us exclusively Louisiana-Lafayette (with apologies to the guy who doesn't want the subject discussed), which means someone contacted the announcers, so we have a lot of opposition for daring to do great things. Ever since I can remember we have been the whipping boy in the state because LSU is the only school allowed to be great.

Looks like they're making this a ball game.
