He was joking that Buckley put the wrong name in there. Ray is not being considered at this time and will likely Redshirt. I don't see him moving elsewhere and wasting that year unless we get desperately thin at WR or RB. i think the plan is to keep him at QB and let him compete next year and I think he'll have a better chance than many think at winning that job.

I'm fairly concerned about the quarterback play. I like Haack. But, I haven't seen anything that makes me think he will be a top tier QB in the SBC.

All we need is a game manager. We don't need to throw for 5,000 yards in a season. We need someone who will make plays with his head for 4 quarters. We need someone who will not turn the ball over trying to make things happen. We need someone who can make an accurate throw over the middle and stretch the field if the match up calls for it. We need someone who can feed The Prophet Elijah the ball and get it to him in the flats when he needs to. We don't need a pure running quarterback. We need Haack attack.

Haack will break the single season passing records this year.

Agree 100%. I think he can be a top tier QB but to expect that early in his first season as a starter may not be realistic. Time will tell, but he will take his lumps early on. They all do.

I hope not...I hope he passes for 2,000 yards, Eli runs for 1,500, and our defense gives up less than 20 points a game. We will be hard to stop if we do those three things.

For real. I watched him at the spring game. I think he's capable. I just don't know if he's a Ryan Aplin, Broadway, etc.

That would only be about 1/3 of the offense we'll need this year.

If he only passes for 2000 yards we will have lost a whole bunch of games. I expect him to average over 250 yards per game.

We have Jamaal Robinson, Fuse, Riles and finally Devin Scott who are all good targets. Devin Scott is the most dangerous deep threat in all of the Sun Belt. Now that we have a QB that can get the ball to him watch out.

Expecting over 10000 yds of total offense?

He is the best pure passer this school has had since Jake. He is different than Ryan Aplin or Broadway.

If he can get protection his season stat line will look like this.

3500 yards passing, 25 TDs, 8 INTs and a completion % close to 70%. By our standards that's an unbelievable season. In today's college football that's average.
