They don't, Duggie. Not with me anyway. I don't trust them either, particularly the ones on the Executive Board.
You know, Duggie, there is nothing wrong with making a decision based on economics, or any number of other factors. But if they are making that kind of decision using your money and mine, we deserve straight answers to simple questions.
Neither the administration nor the board sees it that way, because they see us as inconsequential. As far as I am concerned, any person who so much as walks up to the ticket booth at a volleyball game and pays $6 for a ga ticket is a Cajuns fan, and deserves transparency from the folks spending his money.
The university has a system imposed cap of 3% of total budget that can be spent on athletics, and it does not spend that amount. Several of the people who have been leading this 'uprising' invest a higher percentage of disposable income in the program than the University does, some significantly more. You bet your azz we deserve to know from all responsible parties how and why they are spending our money.
We aren't getting that from the Administration and we aren't getting it from the Board of RCAF.
Why do you think that the top priority for nearly every 'dissenter' in here is an independent RCAF with a Board elected by the donors?
Mr. Cloutier resigned. He has been asked to rejoin the board, but continues to refuse. I am not privy to his reasons, but I strongly suspect they are closely related to many of the issues raised in the last few weeks.
I do not want to leave the impression that he was forced out, though it is not impossible that his resignation was forced.
I do not know Bordelon well which is to say we exchange pleasantries when we see each other but if I'm not mistaken, he's a pretty diehard Cajun fan who played here. I don't know if he even has tickets to LSU but again, I don't know him very well. Robert, perhaps but again I don't know Robert's affiliations but I would think there's a much better chance he's a Tiger supporter than Bordelon.
