I'm sure Farmer would be kicking tjoe's door down demanding he be interviewed

While this is Indubitably true, Farmer is an eager accomplice.

I have yet to chime in but have read and watched everything unfold.

I'm all for Hale, don't get me wrong. I thought he made some good points, but it seems like we can't pitchfork the yonks until we know the actual candidate....unless someone "more fortunate" than me already knows who it is.

I love this site, but it can be a tad unhealthy at times, both overly positive and negative

    When's the name release, Friday?

I've never been a Farmer fan either...always seemed complacent...not to mention a few face to face lies

My crystal ball says Farmer's gone before summer 2016

It is not about this hire. It is about the organizational culture at UL.

All this is, is Farmer saving his own rear-end. Steve Hale is a threat, so why give a job to a person that could replace you as AD? Why even grant him a interview? To save his own _____. Sad that he is putting himself first before the university

I'm all for seeing who the guy actually is as well but why through this process woukd you want to alienate a guy like Hale? He apparently likes to consult, so why not try to work something out with him as a consultant to the RCAF board or to the new director? We hire a firm to do everything else that an AD is supposed to do, this isn't any different. Just think a lot of this could have been avoided of it was handled properly.

This is obviously why Hale was not hired. He would have immediately started getting things accomplished that Farmer has not due to lack of drive and passion or juse not giving a ____ about the well-being of UL.

This is my first post on this subject. I don't know Hale and I don't have any "sources" so I did not have enough information to make an educated decision on the matter.

Hale said EVERYTHING that we have been wanting to hear from our leadership for 5+ years in a 1 hour interview. Just STATING those goals out loud is a 100% improvement from what we have been force fed down our collective throats from Farmer for the last 4 years!

It is obvious that Hale sees the potential here in Louisiana for the Cajuns and believes that all of this potential can be used to realize our goals! That is so refreshing after hearing that "we aren't ready" or "we are comfortable".

What we hears today from Hale is what a Division 1 athletic director should sound like! And it highlights that what we currently tly have is holding UL athletics back!

Seriously, that was more transparency in 1 hour than we have gotten overall from Farmer combined over 4 years.

Hale has an intimate knowledge about how college athletics works and what the future holds. Plus he HAS A FREAKIN SPINE!!! This guy is EXACTLY the type of new blood that UL athletics needs!

Farmer and the RCAF board were at the plate in the bottom of the 9th down by 1 with bases loaded and 2 strikes.

The pitcher's arm fell off so they were allowed to swing at a softball placed on a t-ball T located on the warning track with a corked bat and THEY WHIFFED on their swing.......INTENTIONALLY!!!!

This could have been the turning point. The biggest thing to EVER happen to Cajun athletics. Instead I am afraid it will be the turning point in the wrong direction.

I am very frustrated to know that Scott Farmer just ruined the best opportunity that UL athletics has ever had at the most important time in our history because of his insecurities and lack of drive! He knew that Hale would show everyone how a REAL AD is supposed to get things done and that is why he made sure Hale would not be hired.

    I am done....
I'm going to keep going to games to cheer for our student athletes and coaches. But as far as getting worked up when UL fails at accomplishing a goal due to leadership holding us back I will no longer let it get to me.

I didn't sign the petition, but as soon as I get my parking pass for football I am cancelling my monthly donations. Laughton if you want Jay Walker, I know it is not going to cripple the athletic budget but it will help me to sleep at night.
