Here are a couple of questions:
We have to establish a brand and our moniker is not the sole brand we need. If we are going to go after football stadium, APC and other facility naming rights, we have to have a brand that will bring value to any corporation willing to invest in the advertising. To follow-up on your question, how does he propose to establish our correct brand, get the media (especially ESPN) to accept our LOUISIANA brand, and parlay that into a substantial value for us?
Also, pertaining to conference realignment, all of our facility improvements, particularly the stadium enlargement in Phase II, are predicated on our being in a better conference. Not much need to enlarge the stadium if we are to remain in the Sun Belt. What does he feel we need to do NOW to improve the perception of LOUISIANA and to secure a seat at a better conference? How will his ties around the country help us in that regard?
Can someone please tell me what point it serves for Hale to appear on this radio interview even though he isn't a finalist for the position. I've remained neutral on this matter because I don't know enough about it to have even formed an opinion, but this radio appearance seems like nothing more than a case of sour grapes to me.
Sour grapes would depend upon what he states publicly about the parties involved would it not? And since he hasn't said anything publicly on the subject...your assumption is its about sour grapes? Perhaps it's to clear the air about some of things repeated by several dip____s in this thread.
