You are partially correct. Affiliations probably account for 30% of your brand recognition and success accounts for 40%, the other 30% has everything to do with access and availability.
Access and availability is something we have somewhat done the last few years with the midweek nationally televised games. Now here is the major ____ up by Farmer. By forgoing our 3rd tier media rights to the Sun Belt/ESPN we cannot secure the CST media deal that both sides want to get done. Scott Farmer agreed to give up our 3rd tier rights without consulting Savois or outside the box thinking. So when the Ragin Cajun Network was cancelled because of the TV contract with ESPN owning our 3rd tier rights, CST lost content and we lost exposure. CST and UL tried to work out a deal with ESPN but ESPN required CST to blackout certain areas of programming not contiguous with the Sun Belt footprint. This blunder by Farmer cost us a tremendous amount of exposure. Now the only way out of this is to change leagues or go indy. We all know indy is not an option, so that leaves us hoping for an invite to a new conference and with Farner's history I am doubtful we will get that call.
That you know who I am or anything whatsoever about me, or what I've done in my support of this fine University.
I'll even throw you a bone.. I'll let you off the hook if you can give my any one of these: Name of my business, Wifes name, Sons name, color of my vehcile
Like I've said many times before, I have no connection to the administration whatsoever.
I bring up money because money is the ultimate check on BS. If you actually believe I'm a shill for the administration, put your money where your mouth is. Why wouldn't you? If not, then at least be man enough to concede that you're making **** up.
