Guessing we should expect a heavy dose of the running game, since Robinson will most likely be double teamed all night and we don't have much experience from any other receiver. Does this mean starting a more mobile QB, who can run also, even if that QB isn't the real no. 1?????
I don't see the strategy changing at all. We still have plenty firepower at the WR position. And if they hone in on J-Rob, even better for the other young receivers, and really, I believe that will be Robinson's biggest value to our passing attack. Just the threat of him makes us better.
Yeah, the injuries are impacting practice, because of the number of reps, but if we don't incur anymore, we are still in good shape for gameday.
By this time in his career, Robinson should be good enough to get 100+ yards per game in the Sun Belt regardless of the coverage.
The problem I have seen with him in the past is that on plays where he knows he will not get the ball, he takes the play off and runs a lazy route. When he is one of the main targets, he runs a decent route. If I can pick up those tenancies from the stands, a halfway decent DB can also.
Just in case anyone wondered where Austin ended up.

Not excusing lazy routes, and I also mentioned to my buddies that he did that as well.. But, with TB, we were a 1 option passing game. Had our QB gone through progressions, the entire corps would have been engaged and sharp (I believe). Hard to stay focused when you're the 3rd option on a pass play and only 5% of the time does the QB even get to the 2nd option, much less the 3rd.
Agreed, but I don't see him as a downfield threat. I see screens and quick passes to him and the other freshmen. With Robinson as our only (IMO) downfield threat, UK can take that away. So, why not focus on our strength, the running game, just for this game! If we can win time of possession and keep it a close game going to Q4, we gotta real shot at winning. If we fall behind by a couple of scores and HAVE to throw, I think we're in trouble, especially with inexperienced (I didn't say not talented) WR's. So, starting our most mobile QB (whomever that is) gives us our best shot. (Again, IMO)
