If we fall behind by a couple of scores and HAVE to throw, I think we're in trouble, especially with inexperienced (I didn't say not talented) WR's. So, starting our most mobile QB (whomever that is) gives us our best shot. (Again, IMO)
Devin Scott? And you realize fusilier is a track guy? he is fast as ___.

Yes re: Gabe, which is why I like getting him the ball EARLY in the play and let him do his thing! Is Scott a downfield threat? Idk. Can we get him the ball? All unknowns at this point, I suspect.

A downfield threat is someone who is fast enough to get over the top of the defense, we have that. We have a QB who Hud said might throw the best deep ball he has ever seen. Haack has a very strong arm. I know one thing that isn't an unknown...every time we tried to do what you are saying early against a P5.... We get destroyed.

Scott is a downfield threat! Broadway couldn't throw a deep ball for ____. We have talented guys at wr. That is not a position of concern.

More of a legitimate concern would be if we have the o-line to provide adequate protection for a downfield passing game.

I promise you there is not a defense in the country that can stop Devin Scott from beating them over the top at least 3-4 times per game. Our WR corps will be fine. I'm not worried at all about the WR corps.

If that's the way the coaches wanted to use Gabe they would have left him at the slot receiver and not moved him outside. With the projected starters today he will be the fastest person on the field. I don't understand why you don't see him as a down field threat? Before Brasil came on the team Gabe was in the top 2 fastest on the team now he's in the top 3.

Um hello? White guy = possession receiver. Please get your stereotypes right. I bet sometime during this year an announcer will say Fuse has deceptive speed.

There is a reason why Hud has Fuse returning kicks. SPEED. I saw him take one to the house in live kick drills in the spring.

I wish he would move Brasil to kick return to help minimize the risk of more injury at the receiver position. We don't need anyone else going down there.
