Guys...we are seriously due to get hit by the injury bug! Outside of Jamal Robinson & Montrel Carter, Hud and company have been VERY blessed to have such great team health. I got three words to say: NEXT MAN UP! (also get well)

Maybe Our new D is just that tough

That's perhaps the deepest position on this team. We'll be fine there. More concerned about QB play.

I think we had bigger loses in other years in our QB position but I get what you are saying. Hud said it before "next man up". Good for this to happen early in the fall.

    The only silver lining IMO

Sucks for Pace, he seemed to be a veteran leader, but athletically speaking we have some pretty impressive freshman WR's that will learn on the go. We'll be fine....

WR is the deepest? Maybe by pure numbers but we have a significant amount of inexperience there. I wouldn't call it deep. Maybe by midseason we can say that if some of the younger guys have stepped up but the last thing we wanted was to have to rely upon freshmen at that position.

yes!! until the freshman catch a pass with a 230 Pound linebacker running at him talent is equated to potential and potential means they have not achieved anything yet

To be fair, I still don't think we have to "rely" on the freshmen. We have a good mix of talent still starting at the position.

    You've got the veteran Robinson.
You've got the very promising SO in Fuselier, who showed stud-like Brandon Stokely type plays last year and who Hud already said has become a go-to type option.
You've got Riles, the converted WR from DB last year that showed he has good hands and is reliable.
You've got the somewhat unproven commodity in Devin Scott who didn't see much action last year but we know has talent.

Then, comes the freshmen. I'd be a lot more worried if the Freshmen were needed to be our starters. At this point, if they are starting, it means they've earned it. Really liking what I'm hearing about Gary Haynes.
