    No

UL previously had its own Ragin' Cajun TV broadcasts, but it was disbanded following the Sun Belt's signing of its EXPANDED contract with ESPN."

Good point. But I have seen some good discussions on here and I am hoping that this would be another one.

Nmsu, who is in our conference was not forced to disband their Aggie TV when they signed the ESPN contract, if it was something unavoidable because of the conference TV contract... How did they avoid it?

Well our games were never on the actual cox channel, it was on cox 4. Big difference. That channel didn't reach anything off the I-10 corridor in Louisiana.
And the RCN was not impressive at all IMO.

The key is that we HAD both an ESPN deal and our own network before, but had to shut down our network... while at least one other SBC team still has a network.... I am not a reporter. Only an observer. But I can tell the difference between a cover your ___, call in a favor, puff piece and a real news story. You should be asking why the UL beat writer chose to write this piece without following through by questioning the appropriate people at the SBC, CST and ESPN, and why he did not question Farmer about the suspicious demise of our former network.

A quick search shows that cox is not in New Mexico.

NMSU network had people put in effort to graphics and actually use HD cameras. RCN used terrible graphics if any and out dated technology. I'm not upset it went away, especially if all our games are pick up on espn3. Again cox 4 carried the RCN, not cst.

What does that matter? As long as it is showed in a state with a SBC school or one touching it, it's fine. Didn't you read the article? As dms said... The RCN never left Louisiana much less a state that doesn't touch a SBC state. This isn't a cox problem.

I'm so confused. I thought Obama was the cause of all the world's problems. Now it appears it was Scott Farmer all along?

I'm not upset that it went away, I'm upset whatever mistake was made that made it go away... Is what blocked the CST deal.

ESPN is, and it is not CST in New Mexico that is an issue. Also CST and Cox are not the same entity, related, but not the same.
